Please forgive me Rose, Lori, and Jueseppi. I promise I have a valid excuse for not writing a post for this sooner. And that excuse is:
I heard it my mind and it’s just lame, but here it is despite the lameness. The reason for delaying is that I wanted to have the award pictures up on my sidebar before making it “official” and I needed my husband to do that. He forbids me to mess with the codes — no, not true; I forbid myself. Anyhow, he has been overextended lately and I haven’t wanted to bother him; hence the extremeee delay.
Right now I want to thank each of you, respectively.
Rose — Your comments to me, namely left on “Something is Mi ing” blew me away. Bloggers wait all month to receive a thoughtful, provoking, insightful comment such as that. Everything you do, you do with passion. It’s all there in the way you express yourself without one bit of ambiguity. Thank you so much for awarding me “The New Blogger Award.” http://taracrow.wordpress.com
Lori — Did a sweeter lady ever exist? Whenever one of Lori’s post comes through my inbox, I stop and go on over to take a look. I never worry about what I might find because Lori, like myself, pursues the Light. And she exudes it. She’s the type of person who comes up with silly nicknames and post things that matter dearly to her. Lori, I thank you for honoring me with “The Sunshine Award.” You are sunshine embodied. http://blessyourhippieheart.wordpress.com
Jueseppi — What a character! He is intense, direct, and makes no pretenses about his ebullient ardor and advocacy for our countries’ current president. He is generous with praise, and while it can occasionally slip into more baser humor than I personally enjoy or espouse, he gives it freely without expectation. Since following my blog, I don’t think a post has gone by without him taking the time to “like” it. Thank you, Jueseppi for bestowing “The Hug Award” upon me. http://theobamacrat.wordpress.com
Okay, I think I’ll tackle this in the order each award received.
First up is “The New Blogger Award.” This, as far as I know, doesn’t come with any rules other than passing it on to other new bloggers. Very honestly, it’s not easy for me to know who is new exactly, so what I’ve decided to do is give this to people that are new to me; recent followers. I hope you will accept this, and know that I loved having the opportunity to get to know you and your passions a little better. In way or another you have inspired me.
Here they are:
http://brainsnorts.wordpress.com — This man is funny. Better yet, he’s clever.
http://sugaredpecan.wordpress.com — Warning: do not visit blog without food in your stomach — recipes and photos will induce drooling.
http://wordsweneversaid.wordpress.com — This lady and I bonded over our mutual adoration for Diana Gabaldon’s “Outlander” series. She is thoughtful and leaves sincere comments, and of course has great taste in literature.
http://funandfabulousness.wordpress.com — I love her pictures and I love her attitude. I think in real life Elisa and I would be friends. AND I think it’s worth mentioning — since there has been much discussion on the subject as of late — Elisa was recently Freshly Pressed! Congrats, Elisa.
http://karistaskitchen.com — Again, this incredibly gifted chef’s blog should not be viewed unless a) you’re well informed that by doing so, you will want to make everything she has made, or b) you have practiced the words “No — put the butter and sugar down.” very thoroughly. Check out her post from today. Yum!
The second award I received was “The Sunshine Award” from Lori.
This one does have a few rules:
- Include the award’s logo in a post or on your blog
- Answer 10 questions about yourself
- Nominate 10-12 other fabulous bloggers
- Link your nominees to the post and comment on their blogs, letting them know they have been nominated
- Share the love and link the person who nominated you
Ten Questions About Myself: Well . . . By this point I wonder if anyone is still reading the post, or if ya’ll have just skimmed through to see if your name is on the list. No judging — I’ve done that myself a few times. I think instead of answering ten questions, I’ll lift up 10 prayers to people/circumstances I’m invested in. That way, even if I have lost all you readers, it stands for something 🙂
Father, I ask that you pour out your wisdom over Amanda. Help her to trust in Your plans for her life, to determine what is fear and what is false, and continue to go bravely forth in the midst of uncertainty and change.
I ask for comfort for Jenn. May she be surrounded by those who know her and love her. Those who understand there is nothing they can say to take away the hurt or change what’s happening, but love her enough to simply be.
For Kristin, I ask for strength. That she would continue to persevere and triumph, finding joy and pride in every daily conquering.
Build a home around Tiana and Aaron. Use their gifts, strength, and abilities to further your kingdom and do good in this world. They are beautiful, Lord, and I thank you for bringing them into our lives.
Please provide protection for those who have suffered the loss of people and homes due to tornadoes and other natural disasters. Spread your Goodness and Love throughout the country and enable people to fulfill the purposes in which you created them for. Lord, have mercy on my mother. She is dear and jaded, and needs your grace terribly. Guide Michael and I as we search for a new place to call Church. Help me to a woman of nobility, of generosity, and love. Allow me to do Good with my voice, tame my tongue and give it direction and intention. Help me not to equate success with productivity.
May your Hand be with our country as we try and pull ourselves from the trenches. May we uphold what it means to be American and all that entails.
The people I would like to nominate for this award are those who make me smile just by being themselves. They take the time to interact with me by leaving a comment and make me feel as if they truly care what this lady has to say. Their blog content is diverse, ranging from food, design, and simply the call to share their lives. I am glad to know you, and since I don’t get out into the sun very often for Vitamin D, I thank you for being that lil bit of Sunshine for me.
Please check out these wonderful blogs when you have a moment.
Lastly, “The Hug Award.” There is much content affiliated with The Hug Award, and while it is lengthy and seems a bit extensive to me, I do not want to maim or corrupt its potent message by leaving anything out.
Please do not change or use another image for the HUG Award Image©. Please do not alter–by changing, shortening, or adding to–the text about the award and how to share it with others. Either copy the entire article as it is on this page, or please include a link back to this article, when you post on your blog or share award with others.
I ask you to please honor this request and help me keep the integrity of the award as originally designed, so that future award recipients will know what an honor it is to receive this award. Thank you, Connie Wayne

Whew! I’m tuckered out from all that award receiving and passing on. Time to get down to business for the day and back to that book.
Have a wonderful weekend, friends. See you on Tuesday, or maybe sooner if inspiration calls. And just because, here’s two pictures; one to make you sigh, one to make you laugh, both good for your soul.
